By Road

By Train
Joginder Nagar railway station is 144 km away from the closest station. You can take a taxi from here for a trip to Tosh that will take about 4-5 hours. A much more affordable alternative is to board Shatabdi (12011) early morning from Delhi to Chandigarh. This may cost you nearly INR 700, and arrive in Chandigarh Jc before 11 am. Then, you can arrange a taxi from Chandigarh to Kasol or self-drive.
By Air
The closest airport is at the Kullu Manali Valley, which is 50 KM away from Bhuntar. Since this is a small airport in the hills, connectivity is scarce, and airfares are frequently high. The nearest commercial airport, 300 km from Tosh, has more incredible connections and is located in Chandigarh. One can readily hail cabs for the two-hour trip to Bhuntar.There are many ways to go to Parvati Valley if you plan a journey from Chandigarh to Tosh.

Chandigarh To Tosh

Manikaran To Tosh
In the winter, the buses will drop you off in Manikaran. From there, you can hunt for shared taxis (hard to find in Parvati Valley), head to Barshaini, or hire a private cab if travelling to a party. In the dead of winter, only Barshaini is accessible by road. Tosh is only 3 kilometres from Barshaini, but you would have to climb on the route accessible by car.
Bhuntar To Tosh
You can rent a private cab or board a local bus from Bhuntar to Kasol, Manikaran, or Barshaini to Parvati Valley.
Things To Consider Before Tosh Trek
- Always carry enough water with you, and keep it filled. Staying hydrated is crucial, especially when trekking. Additionally, keep a nice pair of hiking boots close at hand.
- While there will be ATMs close to Kasol, having enough cash for other locations in the area is preferable.
- Due to the favourable temperature, areas close to Kasol are renowned for producing some of the best hashish. As a result, it naturally grows here. Even though the country prohibits its ownership, locals regard it as a plant.
- Be respectful of regional traditions. Don't take it personally if the locals avoid meeting foreigners in different villages. Get the people's permission before taking pictures of them!
- It should go without saying, but please don't pollute or harm the environment. If you are entitled to enjoy it, so will those who will follow you. Seeing beer bottles, cigarette butts, and plastic bottles lying everywhere is heartbreaking.
